DRINKING WATER IN APARTMENT BUILDINGS

NEW LOGO AND ACCREDITATION NUMBER

ACCREDIA developed a project for the reworking of its logo, which also entailed the reworking of the logo granted for use by accredited bodies. The objectives that guided the project were a more modern graphic design that better reflects the specificity of the individual accreditations and a unique numbering, for each legal entity, applicable to all relevant accreditations. The criterion for the reassignment of the accreditation number, for already accredited CABs, will follow a historical order, starting with the oldest accreditations, from the unique registry of accredited legal entities. In the case of overlapping accreditation numbers, if the date of accreditation is the same, we will proceed in alphabetical order according to the accredited company name at the time of reassignment Therefore, from 01/03/2025 Lab-Control will use the new Accredia logo and the new unique numbering. Our new accreditation number will be 00205 instead of 0228L, in application of revision 12 of Regulation RG-09.
NOVITA’ CLASSIFICAZIONE HP14 DEI RIFIUTI
The Guidelines on the Classification of Waste referred to in the resolution of the Council of the National System for Environmental Protection of 18 May 2021 have been approved. The 3R rule in Legislative Decree 26/2014 indicates that the use of animals for scientific purposes should be reduced as much as possible by means of “Replacement, Reduction, Refinement” techniques. For waste classification, FET represents a fundamental replacement technique that, by replacing the method on young fish, avoids the use of animals protected by the Decree. Such use is today strongly opposed by public opinion. Our sales department will be happy to assist you in confirming the HP14 “ecotoxic” classification of waste involving the alternative use of FET, together with the common tests on crustaceans (OECD 202) and algae (OECD 203).
IL REGOLAMENTO PPWR E’ LEGGE

On 16 December 2024, the EU Council formally adopted the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). The text, which had been approved on 24 April 2024 by the European Parliament, will be published in the Official Journal of the EU in January 2025 and the Regulation will enter into force in mid-2026, after an 18-month transition period. The Packaging Regulation also introduces restrictions on the placing on the market of food contact packaging containing PFAS (per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances harmful to human health and the environment) above certain thresholds. Our sales department is at the complete disposal of companies to search for PFAS in MOCA food contact packaging.

BISPHENOL IN MOCHAS BANNED
